Château Ladausse is a 17th century manor house that sits atop a hill of 13 acres of pure tranquility, offering spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. It is part of a larger complex that used to simply be called “Ladausse”. Ladausse consisted of the château itself, the many farms next to it, and the flourmill. The parcels have since been sold several decades ago. What is left as Château Ladausse today has undergone careful renovations to keep the historical touches of the property intact while adding comforts of modern life. The result: a luxurious and uniquely relaxing stay. Waking each morning to the cheerful sound of chirping birds and to an abundance of fresh air, this countryside get-away will recharge your batteries, and the magic of the château will charm you.
A native of the Chicago area, with family roots from Wisconsin, Diane Anthonissen moved to Paris in 2005, thanks to a job offer her husband, Eric, received. With a background in biology/chemistry and an MBA, Diane decided to follow her true passion by following intensive and formal culinary arts training at the Ecole Supérieure de Cuisine Française (Ecole Gregoire Ferrandi). She also worked and interned at Hélène Darroze, L’Atelier de Robuchon and Stohrer in Paris, and Au Fin Gourmet in Pau, plus many other smaller restaurants in Paris. In 2009, Diane decided to create Paris Cooking Company, working as a freelance chef — which allowed her to exercise her craft in a creative and highly interactive way. In early 2014 she and Eric traded city living for the countryside of southwest France , where they opened their joint company, Château Ladausse SARL.
Eric Anthonissen, a Belgian national and engineer by trade, worked over 30 years in large multinational companies, mostly in Petrochemicals, in 8 different countries. In 2011 he decided to follow his own passion and earned a degree in oenology from the University of Bordeaux (Diplôme Universitaire d’Initiation à l’Oenologie). Eric’s love of the countryside, history and wine fits their new adventure perfectly at Château Ladausse. His enthusiasm for the outdoors has also resulted in a well-cared for property and in the creation of a beautiful vegetable garden that produces organic food that ends up in Diane's cooking. Eric's goal is to make sure people are comfortable and that their experience is unique.
